Technical Information
Air Inverter II is the new heat pump for outdoor installation for heating, cooling and domestic hot water.
It can be combined with fan-coils, radiant panels, accumulators for hot water and solar systems.
The Air Inverter II is a high-performance heat pump with state-of-the-art technology and peculiarities to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
It is available in 7 sizes from 5 kW to 16kW with single-phase and three-phase power supply.
It works with wide operating limits from -25 ° C to 46 ° C outside and with delivery temperatures up to 60 ° C.
Air Inverter II fits perfectly to radiant and fan coil systems in both new and refurbished buildings and can be used for heating of swimming pools.
New R32 refrigerant
The new range of Air Inverter II heat pumps is loaded with R32 refrigerant gas, to guarantee high performance with low environmental impact, in advance with the requirements of the European Regulation EU f-gas regulation (517 / 2014).
- Low GWP or lower carbon dioxide emissions
- Better performance in extreme conditions
- Lower refrigerant charge
- High heat transfer coefficient

Protection against ice
The advanced anti-ice system (under-cooling) prevents the formation of ice at the base of the external battery, minimizing the defrost cycles and avoiding drops in the heat pump output.
The result is very high seasonal efficiency.

BLDC Compressor Inverter High Efficiency
The Air Inverter II heat pumps are equipped with the latest Twin Rotary BLCD compressor.
The speed of rotation of the compressor is modulated precisely according to the plant's demand; this reduces energy consumption by more than 30%.
Advanced compressor technology keeps the desired delivery temperature stable, ensuring maximum comfort for the user.

Permanent magnet circulator
The hydraulic circuit is completed by the EC motor pump with permanent magnets and electronic regulation.
The circulator technology allows automatic modulation of the water flow according to the request and the load losses of the system.
This will avoid wasting and unnecessary stress on the piping and other components installed, thus ensuring the high efficiency of the unit.

Silent and efficient
With electronically controlled variable speed DC brushless fans
Air Inverter II is very quiet even at full capacity.
The fans are housed in aerodynamically shaped nozzles and covered by safety grilles.
The blades have larger dimensions to reduce the number of revolutions and minimize the sound level.
These design features guarantee maximum silent operation with reduced energy consumption.
Remote control of the heat pump

The Air Inverter II has a large, backlit LCD display from which you can view the status and active functions of the heat pump in real time.
The interface is modern, multilingual with intuitive icons and easy-to-use curtain menu.
It is installed inside the home and can function as a normal room thermostat.
Customizable screens allow you to read and modify operating parameters and settings, such as:
- Desired room temperature
- Set flow temperature
- Desired DHW storage temperature (Domestic Hot Water)

Installation
outdoor installation
The units are designed to be installed:
- outside
- in a fixed position
Limit the transmission of vibrations:
- use anti-vibration on the support points
- install flexible joints on the hydraulic connections
Choose the place of installation according to the following criteria:
- approval of the customer
- location accessible with security
- technical spaces required by the unit
- Suction spaces and Outlets
- maximum distance allowed by the electrical connections
- points of support and aligned in plan
- elimination of condensate water
- prefer places where the unit will not cause a nuisance to neighbors.
WARNING:
- Avoid installation near the rooms or windows
- prevent clogging of snow accumulations batteries
- Avoid places that are subject to flooding
- install the unit raised from the ground (at least 20 cm)
correct installation
Because the outside temperature is measured through the external unit thermistor, it is recommended to install it
the latter in a shaded position, or to create a shed covering it from the direct port and from the
heat of the sun.
Avoid:
- obstacles to the air flow
- difficult parts
- leaves or other objects that may block the exchanger coils
- winds that contrast or favor the airflow
- heat sources or pollutants near the unit (chimneys, extractors etc ..)
- stratification (cold air that stagnates in the bottom)
- Recirculation (exhaust air which is taken suction)
- placements below ground level, near very high walls, under roofs or corners which may in fact give rise to phenomena of stratification or recirculation

Schemes
Examples of application
Heat pump for low temperature installation with radiant panels. Inertial accumulation connected in parallel with the delivery and in series at the return of the system: the additional inertia water volume of the inertial accumulation ensures optimum operation of the heat pump by stabilizing its operation and reducing its ON / OFF.
The special series-parallel configuration avoids variations in the delivery temperature between the generator and the mixer valve.

2 Application
Combined service heat pump for heating / cooling and domestic hot water production. In this application, a 3-way zone valve must be provided which diverts the heat pump delivery towards the domestic hot water storage: the call to domestic hot water is managed by the heat pump according to priority, by time hourly or cyclically.
The inertial storage tank is connected in parallel with the flow and in series with the return of the system: the additional water volume of the inertial storage tank guarantees optimal operation of the heat pump, stabilizing its operation and reducing its ON / OFF.
The particular serial / parallel configuration avoids variations in the delivery temperature between the generator and the mixing valve.
