Iris Ceiling is the recessed ceiling fan coil unit able to cover the heating and cooling needs of premises both in residential and tertiary (offices and commercial premises) and receptive.
The special conformation of Iris Ceiling directs the flow of air introduced towards the walls (Coanda effect) and not directly downwards, avoiding that annoying air movement that is traditionally perceived in the area below the cassette fan coils.
In the vertical flow version the deflectors are adjustable to allow the user the most appropriate regulation of the air flow.
Iris Ceiling is characterized by a modern and elegant design that integrates perfectly even with traditional modular false ceilings.

Air intake with Coanda effect
The special shape of the Iris Ceiling diffusion frame allows to exploit the "Coanda effect"through which the air is pushed towards the false ceiling and then fall back to the walls.
Unlike traditional systems, air is introduced into the environment at a very low speed and sideways do not cause any inconvenience to the occupants.
Iris Ceiling thus ensures greater and more uniform air circulation in the environment, improving comfort.

The EC Brushless electric motors allow you to fine-tune the speed of the fan assembly, limiting the energy supply to the actual workload required without unnecessary waste.

Design
Panel with fixed fins in horizontal position (COANDA): air diffusion takes place on all 4 sides of the unit.
Panel with manually adjustable fins allows you to adjust the air flow even vertically. 3 COANDA EFFECT but minimum speed.
If the ceiling height is greater than 3 m and therefore there is a need to direct the air flow downwards, a panel with adjustable fins is available as an accessory. In this way it is possible to manually set, for each of the four outlets, the flow orientation: horizontal (with Coanda effect), vertical or in an intermediate position.

Specifications
- Structure: made of galvanized steel sheet. The robust construction prevents vibrations and includes ceiling fixing brackets.
- Front panel: made of painted sheet metal. The shape of the deflectors guarantees a Coanda effect to the outgoing air flow. As an accessory, it is possible to have adjustable deflectors to have Coanda effect or vertical airflow (or intermediate positions). The pleasant design of the panel integrates perfectly into any environment and type of false ceiling.
- Accessibility: the filter can be removed without the use of tools. The accessibility to the internal components (fan and condensate drain pump) is guaranteed by removing the front panel. The hydraulic connections, the valves and the electrical panel are on the same side and therefore it is necessary to create a single inspection hatch in the false ceiling.
- Filter: G1 class (classified according to EN 779: 2012), thickness 6 mm in the propylene net.
- Fan group: composed of backward curved blades fans coupled directly to the engine. The fan is made of reinforced plastic.
The motor and the fans are balanced after being assembled, to ensure the absence of vibrations. Motor mounted on maintenance-free ball bearings.
The AC motor is 3 speed, IP44 protection class with insulation class "B". Built-in thermal protection.
The EC motor is 0-10V control, IP54 protection class, "B" insulation class, interference emissions according to EN 6100-6-3 (civil environment), thermal protection of motor and electronics, protection for rotor blocked.
- Battery: made of copper tube 3 / 8 "diameter and high efficiency corrugated aluminum fins, with manual air vent valve in the upper part Nominal pressure PN10.
- Condensate collection tray: air conveyor made of expanded polystyrene (PPE) with condensation tray in molded plastic, which guarantees the absence of water leakage even after long use. The shape of the tank facilitates the outflow and guarantees minimum water stagnation.
- Isolation: Enclosure body insulated with expanded cross-linked polyethylene according to EN 13501-1 standard. Insulated front panel with polyethylene.
- Electrical cabinet: made of galvanized steel sheet and positioned on the same side of the hydraulic connections.
- Condensate drain pump: Centrifugal type, equipped with double level float (ON-OFF pump and alarm) and check valve (to avoid the return of unpleasant odors from the exhaust and reduce the noise to the gurgling). The maximum head of the pump is 650 mm, measured from the edge of the panel.

Installation
Installation of the brackets
Fasten the four brackets supplied with the threaded bars, with nut, locknut and M8 washer (not supplied).

The hooks of the brackets allow you to temporarily support the machine. Firmly fix the brackets to the machine with the self-tapping screws supplied (2 screws per bracket).

Check that the machine is perfectly horizontal and that it is aligned with the false ceiling. If necessary, adjust the height using the nut and lock nut that lock the threaded rod to the bracket.
Panel adjustment
Fin adjustment The panel can be equipped with fixed fins with horizontal air diffusion (coanda effect) or with manually adjustable fins in position with horizontal, vertical air diffusion or intermediate position. The type of panel is easily recognizable by observing the presence or absence of rectangular slits for the vertical flow of air.
