Technical features
- Low thermal inertia floor radiant system
- Ideal for last-generation self-leveling screeds
- 14x2 mm PE-RT pipe with anti-oxygen barrier
- Multiple installation step of 50 mm
- Development of both spiral and serpentine circuits
- Bugne stopper for a quick pose
The compact structure of the ECOfloor X allows the creation of a radiant floor system even with little thickness available.
The radiant system in a little thickness
ECOfloor X occupies, including the screed, only 30 mm thick, excluding the floor and any additional insulators
In addition to the great advantage of the low thickness of the system, the absence of a traditional screed gives the Ecofloor X system a reduced thermal inertia.
This guarantees one faster answer to the regulation, both in heating and in cooling, and one faster set up of the plant. The result is: more comfort, faster.

Low inertia radiant system
ECOfloor X is fast in start-up system and in the response to thermoregulation: the reduced thickness of the active layer conjugated to the high conductivity of the self-leveling screeds gives the system low thermal inertia. The result is one speed to three times higher compared to a radiant floor with traditional screed.
The high conductivity and the reduced thickness strongly lower the thermal resistance above the pipe to the full advantage of the system yield: high yields are obtained with low delivery temperatures.
Saves on time and costs on site
The use of the self-leveling screed in the ECOfloor X radiant system offers numerous energy advantages. The thermal characteristics of the screed are certain and not subject to building site variables.
The use of the self-leveling screed in combination with ECOfloor X allows you to accelerate construction times. Equipment for fluid mixes for pumping and laying the screed can be used. It is not necessary to pose anti-shrinkage networks and expansion joints; drying is very fast: on average within 4 gg the first start can already be carried out.
The other components of the system
Tube high strength
The PE-RT pipe is a pipe 14 mm ideally plastic surfaces for radiant systems.
The inner tube is made with a special PE-RT is resistant to high temperatures.

Distribution manifold
The new concept modular manifold, with variable number of outlets from 2 to 18, is connected to the hydraulic circuit thanks to special push-button fittings and without the need for special tools. System calibration is extremely simplified thanks to the graduated scale on the individual delivery flowmeters.
Cassette collectors
The mounting box is designed to position with ease the distribution manifolds of the radiant systems. Includes Mounting rails collectors and height adjustable feet.
Banda perimeter insulation
The polyethylene band, placed between the walls and the radiant panels, has the function of absorbing the expansion of the screed and providing good thermal and acoustic insulation. It is made with special materials that make it resistant to mold.

How is the low-thickness radiant system made up?
To simplify the installation of the lowered system we have created 3 types of panels.
ECOfloor X 5 - 10 - 20
ECOFLOOR X: RADIANT SYSTEM STARTING FROM 23 mm
ECOfloor X5, X10 and X20 are ashlar panels with EPS insulation of variable thickness: respectively 5, 10 and 20 mm under the pipe.
Coupling the use to that of a self-leveling screed only 10 mm thick above the clew is sufficient for the realization of a radiant floor:
the resulting footprint varies from 30 mm (ECOfloor X 5) to 48 mm (ECOfloor X 20).

ECOFLOOR X is the insulating panel for low thickness radiant floor systems. The high density closed cell sintered expanded polystyrene insulation is coupled to a 0,8 mm thick HIPS thermoformed laminated polystyrene shell which guarantees impenetrability to moisture and resistance to foot traffic.
The relief bosses of 15 mm allow the perfect development and fixing of the radiant circuits while the 50 mm perimeter batten is foreseen for the interlocking overlap of the panels in order to obtain a perfect laying during the laying operations and the casting of the screed.

Components
PE-RT pipe
The 14 14x2 mm PE-RT tube is a three-layer tube:
- Internal layer. PE-RT (non-cross-linked increased thermal resistance polyethylene) with an extremely smooth surface and very low pressure drop.
- Intermediate layer. Very thin layer of highly adhesive polymeric material with glue function
- External layer. Oxygen barrier in EVOH (ethylene-vinyl-alcohol) to give the tube water-proof oxygen (the amount of oxygen that, at the temperature of 40 ° C, goes beyond the tube in a day, is less than 0,1 grams per metrocube)

The PE-RT pipe is perfectly used in radiant heating systems in PE-RT thanks to the high elastic modulus that distinguishes it. The product guarantees a high resistance to the stresses offered by the radiant screed and also contained linear expansions.
ADVANTAGES
- oxygen barrier
- high duration
- high resistance even with temperatures close to 100 ° C
- Very low roughness
- Non-toxicity (pipe that can also be used for drinking water)
- Flexibility and resistance to scratches

distribution manifold
Collector newly designed for radiant floor systems, wall and ceiling heating and cooling. The number of outputs is variable from a minimum to a maximum of 2 18 and the installation can be both horizontal and vertical: the result is the perfect compatibility of the collector with any of the radiating system.
The preparation of the thermostatic control and the flow display are some of the manifold accessories that allow the perfect collector compatibility with any radiant system.
The preparation of the thermostatic control and the flow display are some of the manifold accessories designed to perfect the radiant system calibration and its subsequent and optimal steady state operation.
Flow Module
The supply module is equipped with flow meters and flow control valves incorporated. By means of the regulating valve the flow rate to the individual circuits can be precisely adjusted to the desired value, the value read directly on the scale of the single flow meter.
In this way it simplifies and speeds up the calibration operation of the circuit, without the need for reference graphs. The valve makes it possible to seal off the single circuit, in case of need.
return form
The return module is equipped with shut-off valves incorporated. By means of the shut-off valve with manual knob, the scope for the individual circuits can be reduced up to the complete closure of the same circuit.
The valves are designed for the application of an electric actuator, to make automatic on signal of a room thermostat.
Deposit port manifold
The cassette for accommodation of distribution collectors is the built-in type, designed to easily position the collectors of radiant systems.
ADVANTAGES
- Recessed box with galvanized sheet metal body
- Electro Network for paintable parts
- Rails for fast mounting manifolds
- Height-adjustable feet
- Frame and white door
- Easy positioning of the collector
Banda perimeter
The perimeter insulation tape is made of closed cell polyethylene, light raincoat, not decomposable and resistant to mold and high resistance to chemical attack and to alkaline reactions of concrete products.
The product is stable over time thanks to the compounds made by the extrusion of the polyethylene and the use of special glues. Both the polyethylene as the glues used are resistant to thermal shock.
The tape is ideal for the realization of underfloor heating-cooling.
Its position between the screed and all the structural elements with which it adjoins allows to absorb the expansion of the screed and to obtain a good thermal and acoustic insulation.
